First Post

Hi, my name is Holly. I’m an author and publicist (an indie author for now, but I hope to publish the works of others once I have grown enough). I have loved writing since I was little. My mom used to go to parent teacher conferences and she was told Holly was writing during math again. My first story, that I remember, was called Stinkerella. We had to write our own version of Cinderella, and I had been absent on pick your character day. That was how school often went for me: I didn’t go, I got the worst group or the last choice. In this case, it was the kind of challenge that set me down a long road of writing.

My first published book is Blue Note, which I actually only wrote lines for (dialogue). It’s the first in a five part series. I AM doing most of the writing for book two. That series is fantasy, which is where my passion lies, but I have some non-fantasy books in the works too.

Other than writing, I have two kids (a four year old and a two year old). I have a husband who is my champion – he tells me to KEEP writing and to never give up. I have several pets (3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 fish…) and I love puzzles and video games when I have time. I love reading. I majored in accounting, because it comes naturally to me. I hate marketing, but I’m working on it.
